The Everest Region, also called
Khumbu, is the most popular and most frequently visited by tourists,
region of Himalayas. Beside the view of so called "world
roof top" (MT. Everest 8848 m), visitors can also admire
the beauty of three other OSMIOTYSIECZNIKI giants: Lothse (8501
m), Makalu (8475 m), and Cho Oyu (8201 m). The Everest Region
offers also breathtaking views of RODODENDRON forests, waterfalls,
lakes and glaciers. Khumbu is also a base of Sherp tribe. "Shar-pa"
is a Tibetan name for "people who came from the east",
those who came to Nepal from north-estern Tibet, most probably
running away from Mongolians. Furthermore, the Everest Region
offers opportunities to explore secrets of monk's living habits
by visiting number of Buddhist monasteries. |
