  Northern borders of Upper Dolpo is a region of untold beauty and majesty. In geographical and cultural regard Dolpo region resembles neighboring Mustang region. Within the mountainous desert of Upper Dolpo there are many Buddhist Gomps such as Shey Gomp located the impressive height of 4200 m. To the north from Jomsom our trail reaches restricted area of Kagbeni and further on goes toward Ring - Mo lake (3600 m) located in Shey Phoksumdo National Park. On the way, it is possible to relax by hot springs, explore old caves as well as look out for blue sheep and snow panther. The dignity of Upper Dolpo and it's long tradition create the land that invites travelers with a promise of exciting adventure.
