Dhaulagiri reaches 8167 m and is the seventh highest mountain in the world. The peak stands lonely over Kali Gandaki valley in mid-west Nepal. It is the deepest valley in the world between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, both having more than 8000 m in height. On our trail we will admire wonderful view of south wall of Dhalaugiri and visit small valleys hidden behind hills .Further on, passing through pine, rhododendron and spruce forests we will reach Kaphe glacier and than move towards French pass (5240 m). Crossing the pass we will descent into wild valleys, where even in summer it's possible to come across bharale (blue sheep). The trail leads futher ahead through Thapa pass (5350 m), which offers in summer wonderful panorama of Kali Gandaki valley. Our adventure ends with the steep descent to the valley and than to Pokhara. The TK3 trail is not easy, but the pleasures it offers will exceed the difficulties.
